PW[Cho Num-chul]PB[Fujisawa Shuko]
;B[qd]C[Cho Num-chul (or Cho Num-cheol) is known as the 1st Kuksu (a special honorary title that means something like 'national treasure') and he is considered to be the founding father of contemporary Korean Baduk.

In 1937, at the age of 14, he traveled to Japan and became a pupil of Kitani Minoru. He studied go in the Nihon Ki-in and returned to Korea for his army service.
He was the first professional from Korea, at age 18. In 1945 he founded the Hansung Kiwon, the predecessor of the modern Hankuk Kiwon (Korean Go Association).

Cho did a great effort to save baduk during Korean war (6.25).

Today we will show a game from 1938 in which he plays against another legendary player who was also a young boy at the time, Fujisawa Shuko.
Played in the Nihon Ki-in (The Japanese Go Association) for the Insei League.

B: Fujisawa Shuko age: 14
W: Cho Nam-chul age 15
